When Rhinoplasty Revision Is Necessary
If the nasal bridge appears crooked.
The existing implant is removed and a new implant made to fit the shape is inserted again.
When the implant easily moves.
The implant moves when it has been placed under the skin instead of under the periosteum. In this case it is corrected by repositioning the implant properly beneath the periosteum.
If the nasal tip is deformed by the implant
After removing the implant, the shape of the nasal tip is made natural using autologous tissue. The cartilage is wrapped with autologous fascia to prevent the tip from turning red.
Contracted Nose
The scar tissue inside the nose is softened to release the contracture, and then the cartilage of the nasal tip is straightened. After that, the tip is corrected with your own cartilage or a functional cartilage graft.
When the implant is too obvious
When the implant shows through because the skin is thin, it is corrected by designing autologous dermis or autologous fascia to fit the individual nose shape and inserting the implant wrapped in it.
When the nasal bridge is too high
After removing the existing implant, an implant made to fit the individual's face is inserted to correct the nose to a natural height and shape.
When the nasal tip has become low
Using septal or rib cartilage, a support is built at the nasal tip to make it firm. Combined with tip rhinoplasty, a natural and well-defined nose can be created.
